I’m not sure if it’s “proper” to nominate yourself but my industry is one that most people have no idea that it even exists and we’re always looking for new people to work with us, especially since my company is doubling in size next year.
Name’s Matt Johnson and I’m a cross country tourguide. I lead active and adventure travel trips all over the United States. I drive a van and trailer filled with a bunch of Europeans stopping in the cities, National Parks and little towns along the way. Camping and hiking and rafting and doing whatever we can for one to three weeks. Currently I’m traveling from Los Angeles to NYC via a southern route with two vans full of French teenagers.
I’d like to suggest Mike Dillon, founder of Dillon Works! in Mukilteo, WA. as a “No Joe Schmo”. We design and fabricate all sorts of cool stuff for theme parks, hotels, casinos, hospitals, private residences, trade shows, etc. Mike started the company about 25 yrs ago in his wife’s grandma’s basement and has grown it to 30+ employees in a 30,000 sq. ft. facility. Please see our website as proof of Mike’s fun and creative nature – dillonworks.com.
My name’s Elizabeth Camila and I would like to see an interview with the CEO of travel site Tripping.com – Jen O’Neal. Here is the site: http://www.tripping.com. She’s one of the female CEOs in Silicon Valley that intrigues me most – such a cool company.
David Gallo is a NYC based scenic and projection designer with a diverse portfolio including Broadway, regional theater, international stage, and at sea (yes, a cruise ship theater!) Work spans from children’s programming to rock concerts, musicals and dramas. A dad to young children- and arguably the best job in the world- having friends like DJ Lance Rock and Dora and Sponge Bob Squarepants catapults him into a supercool job.
